Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Uganda’s most iconic destinations, best known for mountain gorilla trekking. Located in southwestern Uganda, Bwindi is home to over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, offering visitors a rare chance to observe these majestic primates in their natural habitat. The forest’s dense vegetation, misty hills, and rich biodiversity make it a haven for nature lovers. Apart from gorilla trekking, Bwindi is also a prime spot for birdwatching, with over 350 bird species, including Albertine Rift endemics.
